American Coupe or Sedan.
- Body
may not be shortened, sectioned or have chopped tops. MUST REMAIN
STOCK APPEARING. No homemade or after-market body.
- Stock
Fire wall, stock floor pan must extend to rear of driver's seat. Floor
pan must cover transmission.
- Frame
must remain Stock.
- Fenders
may be trimmed to allow tire clearance.
- Sub-frame
cars may be tied together under car.
- Front
and rear bumpers in Stock position required and must be rounded off.
- Nose
and grill may be replaced with plastic.
- Nerf
bars not to exceed one (1) inch from body and maximum one and one-half
(1 1/2) diameter.
- FUEL
CELL IS MANDATORY. No boat tanks or homemade gas containers allowed.
Trunk flooring may be removed to mount cell. Fuel cells MUST
be contained in reinforced steel container and securely mounted.
- Battery
may be relocated, but not in driver's compartment.
- Doors
MUST be welded shut.
- All
glass and flammable material must be removed.
- Cars
must have a MINIMUM six (6) point roll cage. 1 1/2 inch minimum
diameter pipe, securely welded to frame. Three (3) driver's side door
bars required. NO BLACK or galvanized pipe allowed.
- After
market pedals will be allowed as long as brakes are not adjustable.
SUSPENSION
- Stock
type suspension in stock location.
- No
weight jacks or wedge block.
- Front
shocks must be in stock location. Rear shocks may be relocated
if needed and only one shock per wheel.
- Lowering
will be allowed.
- Right
front safety hub is optional.
- No
sliders. Adjustable shackles are allowed.
- Quick
steer allowed.
- No
Chrysler springs allowed except on Chrysler cars.
- Engine
set back-left front spark plug hole can be no farther back than
center of upper ball joint.
REARENDS
- Rear
end must be locked or posi-trac.
- 9-inch
Ford rear end permitted.
- Rear disc
brakes permitted.
- No
floating axles or 3/4 ton truck rear ends.
TRANSMISSION
- Stock
manual or stock automatic transmission with stock torque converter.
- Stock
flywheel, clutch and pressure plate.

- Drive
shaft loop REQUIRED.

ENGINES
- 362
cubic inch MAXIMUM. Motor to be stock GM to GM, Ford to
Ford, etc.
- Stock
production cast iron heads only. No porting or polishing.
- Stock
rocker arms only. No roller tip or roller rocker arms.
- Screw-in
studs and guide plates allowed.
- After
market camshafts are allowed. No rollers.
- Must
pull 15 inches of vacuum at 1000 RPMs. Vacuum to be pulled from
base of carburetor or intake. Top three (3) cars will be checked
after Feature Race. 12 Volt hookup for track tack required. All
engines must be turned off after vacuum test.
- Flat
top or dished pistons only. Two valve relief pistons allowed.
- Stock
rods. (After market rod bolts okay.)
- Stock
crank.
- Stock
HEI or point distributor. No supercoils or magnetos or MSD.
- Cast
iron intake only. 2 or 4 barrel okay.
- Carburetors
spacer NOT EXCEEDING 2 inches IN HEIGHT.
- Mechanical
fuel pump in stock location. Stock manual fuel pump. No electric
or belt driven pumps.

or exhaust manifolds allowed. No 180 degree headers.
- Carburetor
can be NO larger than Holley 500 CFM 2 barrel and must
pass inspection from top side with gauge. (Must be stock venture
1 3/8 inch.) Choke horn may be removed.

- NO
MOTOR CLAIM.
- No
electric fuel pumps. Belt driven or manual pumps only.

- Any
stock appearing replica body may be used. Rear of car does not
have to be enclosed. American car style, 103 inch wheel base minimum.
Car must weigh a minimum of 2,300 pounds with driver following
the race. All cars must weigh after each heat race and feature
race.
- Drive
train must have transmission, mounted on rear of engine. No direct
drive or in-out boxes will be permitted.
- Any
transmission, with working forward and reverse gears is permitted,
and must lead to one (1) drive shaft.
- Manual
Transmissions must be equipped with an operational clutch.
- May
run floater rear ends. Wide 5 hubs allowed. Quick change rear
ends permitted. No open tube (Sprint Car) rear ends will be permitted.
- 14
inch maximum wheel width, steel or aluminum. No tired marked over
13 inches wide. Must run tire compound of 55 or harder. Tire compound
must be on tire. (Sample ... Hoosier D-55 or LM40 or McCrary Brand
MD56 or HD65.)
- Racing
gas or alcohol permitted.
- No
nitrous oxide.
ENGINES
Remember: Original Engine Manufacturer must match Body Style
- No
titanium, or other "exotic" material, crankshafts or
connecting rods allowed.
- Blocks
may be made of steel or aluminum.
- V-8
or V-6 configurations are both allowed.
- V-6
Rear of block must be in same location as that for V-8 engines.
- All
engines must be based on factory design and be naturally aspirated.
No turbo-chargers or blowers. No fuel injection.
- Maximum
engine setback will be 6" (x), measured from center of ball
joint to front spark plug hole. No tolerance.
- ALL
engines are limited to 1 (one) spark plug and 2 (two) valves per
cylinder.
- Magnetos
are permitted, but all cars must have an operating self-starter.
- There
must be an inspection hole, minimum 1 inch diameter, in the oil
pan for rod & crank inspection. No inspection hole means that
the Team concerned must be prepared to pull the oil pan to allow
checking by the inspector -- Refusal to comply with all reasonable
inspection requests will cause the car to be deemed illegal and
disqualified.

track for the 2003 Season. We will adopt the IMCA Rules, except

Motor
Claim will be a $1000 exchange. If you do not sell your engine,
a $500 fine or one (1) week suspension on driver only. No points
or prize money paid for that night.
- Pill
draw to determine heat races. Features will be determined by way
car finished in heat race.
- All
cars must weight after each race and feature race.
- Allowed
to run Bert or Brinn transmissions

CRUISERS
- Cars:
Minimum 110 inch wheelbase. Left side driver controls steering
and brake. Right side driver controls the throttle, the throttle
must be moved within 12" or less from the right side fire
wall.
- Safety:
See Safety Rules.
Fire suit mandatory.
- NO
MODIFICATION TO BODY, SUSPENSION OR ENGINE! Working horn. Car
radio optional. No headers. Stock Exhaust.
- Steering
must remain stock.
- Wheel
& Tires: ASPHALT TAKE OFFS ONLY. 8" or 10-" wheels
allowed. NO off road or spoke wheels. Recommend 3/8th's studs
with heavy lug nuts.
- Rear
ends: Allowed to run welded rear ends and they must pull 20 inches
of vacuum at 1000 RPMs.
- Cars
must have numbers on both sides and top of car, and must be at
least 14 inches in height. Must be legal. (3) digit or (2) digit
and (1) letter.
- Cars
must run clockwise or counter clockwise.
- Must
be 18 years of age to participate in this class.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
FOR CRUISERS
Anyone
going to claim a Cruise car must come to the Tower with $1000 cash
and turn the money over to a Track Official and state what car you
will be claiming at the end of the night. The entire car is bought.
If
your car is claimed and you refuse to sell, the car is barred for
two (2) weeks. If your car is claimed for a second time and you
refuse to sell, the car is barred for the rest of the year.
Any
question must be addressed to one of the Track Officials.
